Review of the holiday care programme

The compatibility of career and family is very important to us at Rödl & Partner. Back in 2005, we opened the ‘Schlaue Füchse’ childcare centre at our Nuremberg headquarters in collaboration with the BRK. Our holiday childcare programme - which takes place for one week during the Easter holidays and two weeks during the summer holidays - is also a matter very close to our hearts. Every time, there is huge demand and anticipation among the children for the upcoming holiday childcare programme.

We are happy to tell you why this is the case in a short insight and review:

Both the Easter and summer holiday care programmes, in cooperation with the Montessori School and pme Familienservice, were once again a great success for all the children involved and the team of carers this year. The experienced childcare workers gave the participating children an unforgettable time with lots of variety and new experiences.

This year’s holiday childcare programme offered the children a colourful and creative programme focused on nature, exercise and artistic design. During the themed week ‘Off to the meadow – discover diversity’, the children learned about nature in a playful way. On a herb walk, they were able to discover and collect plants, while giving free rein to their creativity by making salt dough pendants, sand tea lights and designing a nature memory game.

The week entitled ‘Express yourself freely – creativity with all your senses’ offered numerous opportunities for artistic expression. The children made sun catchers, pom-pom caterpillars and glass magnets, and learned new techniques such as creating watercolour monsters and making flowers out of egg cartons. They also explored the sensory experience field during an excursion. Physical activity was the focus of the exercise week ‘Let’s get moving – exercise is fun’. The children took part in a dance workshop, practised relay races, and made their own throwing games and medals. In the gym, they were able to let off steam with various ball games such as table tennis, football and volleyball and design their own Frisbees.

Of course, physical well-being was also taken care of. The participants in the holiday care programme had breakfast together every day. Lunch was served in our Campino after a short walk to the Nuremberg headquarters.

The holiday care programme was a complete success!
The varied programme allowed the children to enjoy the holidays together in a relaxed atmosphere. We are therefore already looking forward to next year’s holiday care programme – with new ideas, fresh energy and lots of excitement!
