Congratulations on 35 years with Rödl & Partner

We would like to congratulate Britta Dierichs on her 35th anniversary at Rödl & Partner! She impressively demonstrates that the slogan: ‘’Find your professional home with us’’, is not ‘’just’’ a slogan, but a reality. Below she tells us more about her career.

How did you find your way to Rödl & Partner back then?

I joined Rödl & Partner with my husband in the year of 1988 straight after my business administration studies exams. We were both introduced directly to (company founder) Bernd Rödl by a lecturer at the time. I was strongly influenced by him along the way.

In which position/with which tasks did you start your job? How has your area of work developed and what is your current role?

I worked in the tax ‘’Think Tank’’ right from the start and worked in the tax structure consulting team, which consisted of a total of four colleagues. I had founded my first team even before I was appointed as a tax consultant; I was then made a partner in 2000. In 2006, my husband left Rödl & Partner and – together with his deputy – I managed a large team of six other professionals and their staff on a part-time basis. I concentrated primarily on succession advice and advising founders, foundation, and non-profit organisations.

With the great support of Dr. Hans Weggenmann (Head of Tax Consulting), I retired from the ‘’front line’’ in 2014 and have overseen Tax Knowledge Management ever since. In doing so, I endeavour to support the work of tax advisors’ up-to-date information, templates, recommendations, and tools.

What was the best event during your time at Rödl & Partner?

The topping out ceremony and the inauguration of the new building: those were great parties that guests, clients, and employees celebrated together. The ‘’Dicht’’ rounds before the celebrations, for the birthday song for Bernd Rödl (at the topping out ceremony) and the ‘’Super Rödl Glass Palace’’ are unforgettable.

What do you particularly appreciate about Rödl & Partner?

Rödl & Partner is my professional home. I appreciate the direct communication, the flat hierarchies, the encouragement of personal initiatives and entrepreneurial spirit and the mutual respect and trust.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Hiking, mountaineering, skiing, cycling, and travelling, and I always like to go to the high northern and deep southern polar regions of the word. And to keep it that way, I wish for peace and security in this world, good health, more time for training and spontaneous travel opportunities.

What do you wish for the future?

Our profession is facing a major change due to AI – in fact, we are already in the midst of it. I hope that Rödl & Partner will take on this challenge and master it in its usual smart way, and that all colleagues will be involved and take non board. Exciting tasks await us all!
