eXplore Audit – Trainee in audit & advisory

Luca Teres Loytved recently embarked on her professional journey as a trainee in Rödl & Partner's Audit department. In the following interview, she provides comprehensive insights into our new trainee program and shares her initial impressions of Rödl & Partner as an employer.

Dear Luca, thank you for taking the time! To start, the most crucial question: Why did you choose Rödl & Partner as your employer?

The extensive structure of Rödl & Partner, especially the company’s interdisciplinary approach, greatly impressed me and made it the most appealing option compared to others. The fact that various professional groups collaborate under one roof gives the company a unique holistic approach, which was pivotal for me. From the outset, I was confident that Rödl & Partner would be a good fit for me as an employer, making the decision to start here straightforward. Additionally, the positive reputation of Rödl & Partner in the public eye was another decisive factor for me, which has been validated in practice.

Why did you apply for our (new) trainee program?

Positive experiences regarding trainee programs in general from my surroundings sparked my interest. As a newcomer to the workforce with a strong desire for learning, the prospect of the trainee program at Rödl & Partner seemed like an ideal opportunity for me to kickstart my career. The chance to rotate through four different areas for a slightly longer period particularly appealed to me. Furthermore, the opportunity to be both challenged and supported in Rödl & Partner’s trainee program further captured my interest.

Can you recall your first days and weeks? How did they go?

Since it wasn’t too long ago, the memory of the multitude of new impressions during the initial phase is still fresh in my mind. Especially when considering this and comparing it to where I am now, the steep learning and growth curve as a trainee at Rödl & Partner is evident to me. The exceptional helpfulness of my colleagues stood out particularly positively.

The opportunity to learn something new every day and contribute to a collective outcome motivates me greatly. The positive atmosphere within the team and the inspiring work environment in the office contribute to my starting each day with enthusiasm.

What does a typical workday look like for you, if there is such a thing?

With a team spread across locations, we typically start our day with a coordination call in the morning to discuss the tasks for the day. Following that, there isn’t a fixed routine, but daily interaction and collaboration with other team members are essential and recurring aspects of my workdays.

Would you recommend the trainee program?

Absolutely! I can confidently say that I learn something new every day, and I believe this will continue even after transitioning to the next area. Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend the trainee program to anyone curious about gaining deeper insights into the various areas of Rödl & Partner.

Would you recommend Rödl & Partner as an employer?

Based on my responses to the previous questions, I would definitely recommend Rödl & Partner as an employer. It’s worth highlighting once again that I feel valued even as a newcomer to the workforce.

In conclusion: How would you describe Rödl & Partner in three words?

Friendly, holistic, and appreciative.

Thank you for the insightful interview, and I wish you continued success!
