Success story Selb: Insights into our BPO team

In the following interview with Franziska Konrad and Veit Christopher Brose, you could find out what the two associate partners value about our location in the small town of Selb, how they characterise their colleagues in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) service line and what you could expect from them as team leads.

Let’s start with a question which will certainly interest many potential applicants: What exactly do you expect from your colleagues?

Franziska Konrad: In a nutshell? Reliability, motivation to take on new tasks and above all: enjoy working with numbers. Interested applicants should definitely also not be afraid of IT and other programmes in general.
Veit Christopher Brose: In addition, you should also always be interested in what you are doing. The ability to work in a team also makes it much easier to get properly started. Later on, it is also a great advantage if you could work independently.

Interesting, however let’s turn the table a bit: what could colleagues expect from you as team leads?

Franziska Konrad: I maintain a trusting and good relationship with my colleagues with a focus on personal- and professional development. Constructive dialogue is particularly crucial to me, in both directions of course.
Veit Christopher Brose: I try to be a support for my colleagues, and I would absolutely be happy to function as a point of contact for various questions and issues. I generally try to provide simple support and solutions. In addition, we do also offer appropriate training for more complex topics.

We are a small, manageable team and therefore in general very informal, who enjoy supporting one another and overcoming challenges together.

Which clients do you service? Do you focus on a particular industry?

Franziska Konrad: We do not focus on any particular industry, but service clients from all kinds of fields such as retail, logistics, fashion, medical, IT, publishing, and the automotive industry.
Veit Christopher Brose: Our team looks after clients from the food and service industry, the dental industry and financial service providers. As you can see our services are in demand across all industries

What is special about your job?

Franziska Konrad: the fact that we have a variety of tasks and get the opportunity to ‘’look inside’’ many companies is definitely special. You gain a lot of different impression in a swiftly manner.
Veit Christopher Brose: That is true indeed. You definitely gain insights into a wide variety of companies and industries. In addition, there is the communication with a wide variety of people and the wide range of work in the companies. They say: ‘’no customers are the same’’ and that’s exactly what makes our job so special.

Flashback: What was your dream job as a child?

Franziska Konrad: being a teacher.
Veit Christopher Brose: being an actor.

Above all, our team stands for good team spirit. We also have a mixed age structure, so every team member benefits from one another’s diverse experiences.

Which type are you now? Home office or on-site?

Franziska Konrad: I am more of a ‘’mixed’’ type when it comes to this topic. I generally like working from home as I usually have more peace and quiet there than on-site. However, I also think it is essential to be in the office week to discuss various topics with colleagues and to work out solutions as a team.
Veit Christopher Brose: The mixture of on-site and home office is also ideal for my way of working. On-site, I think it is essential to interact with colleagues and be present as a team lead. However, I could often work more effectively at home.

One last question: Why do you work at our location in Selb of all places? What is so special about it?

Franziska Konrad: Selb is a beautiful, small town in the north of Bavaria, also known as the ‘’porcelain town’’. The following quote describes the town quite well: ‘’We don’t have everything, but we have everything we need’’, and we meet on a familiar, personal level. Our BPO team consists of around 25 colleagues, is well mixed, highly motivated and is constantly growing. Last but not least: I like the new bright and incredibly open offices at the site.
Veit Christopher Brose: Selb is a close to where I live, which is of course an essential factor. I also appreciate the short distances and the fact that there is no big city traffic. Although we are a small, well-organised location, we do service clients throughout Germany and are growing steadily.
