The training and development programme for you as a permanent associate

2-year programme
eXplore Audit: This is your in-depth training on the way to becoming a top SME consultant.

Start immediately – you can join the programme at any time. As a colleague in our teams, you will gain project experience and experience points in our national and international audit projects right from the start.

At the end of your programme, you will have acquired sufficient knowledge and skills through your chosen tracks and the comprehensive training to positively shape your future career.

Choose your tracks: Audit, Governance - Risk - Compliance (GRC), ESG

Your track is your personal launch pad into the audit world and your home base. From there, you can complete variable stages in the other areas to round off your training perfectly.

Audit: In Audit, you can expect a versatile, modern and future-orientated profession that gives you access to interesting personalities and companies. You will benefit from a team of generalists and specialists who deal with topics such as auditing/reporting, consulting and digital transformation.

Governance – Risk – Compliance (GRC): In GRC, the focus is on appropriate governance structures, risk and compliance management as well as the internal control system (ICS), which also includes the internal audit system. To this end, you will work with business analytics, corporate governance, information security, data protection and cybersecurity and IT compliance management systems.

ESG: This is about sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). You will accompany audit and consulting assignments on sustainability reporting and thus continue to develop personally and professionally. With the expertise you have already acquired, you will support consulting projects that create sustainable added value for our clients.

You will use an innovative and digital audit approach and work with your team to continuously develop the audit of the future. We audit and advise national and international clients from various sectors, e.g. automotive, software/IT, services, venture capital and healthcare.

Which track do you choose?

6 locations

Whether Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Eschborn or Cologne: join us flexibly in your favourite city!

Our teams work together across locations on exciting projects in the areas of Audit, Governance – Risk – Compliance (GRC) and ESG.

And you are also flexible when it comes to your workplace. After your onboarding, you can continue to work in our modern offices – for maximum deal proximity, an inspiring and dynamic atmosphere and, of course, lunch together as a team! And if you need more concentration, you can simply move to the mobile office.

Structured training

From one project to the next? Stop! At Rödl & Partner, we attach great importance to providing you with structured training so that your training is well-founded. In addition to traditional on-the-job training, you will learn the basics of auditing at the Audit Academy and in an audit assignment.

We also offer you a wide range of programmes that you can put together according to your individual interests: Take part in webinars in the M&A Campus, attend the Audit Academy, complete a training course in MS Power BI or sign up for one of our many training courses in our Rödl campus programme – here you will learn everything from tools to soft skills.

Whether ESG Updates, Power BI or Business English: we will give you tips for the right training courses in your tracks and actively involve you in our various training programmes.

Experience-Point-System (EP)

To document your progress, you collect Experience Points every week. Whether in your own track, in the audit assignment or in your elective station: the points will count equally towards your target.

The goal is 180 Experience Points, which you collect over the course of 2 years (2 EPs per week). Together with your mentor, you determine your preferences in advance, e.g. based on your previous experience or relevant internships.

Example: Tracks Audit, GRC, ESG

  • Audit 80 points
  • GRC 40 points
  • ESG 60 points

total: 180 points

Flexibility is everything: The points system allows flexible switching between the various disciplines depending on the project situation.

Structured mentoring

Your mentor is an experienced colleague from your track. Before the start of the eXplore programme, you will work together to decide which elective station is best suited to you and how to structure your trainee period.

Your mentor will also give you regular feedback on your performance, act as your point of contact for questions or problems and meet with you for professional and personal dialogue.

This means that you will always have a permanent contact who will be on hand to give you advice and support, even if your projects and stations change.

I can definitely recommend the trainee programme, as you learn a lot and gain an insight into three different areas (Audit, GRC and ESG). Your colleagues welcome you very well and integrate you into your team. I can also recommend Rödl & Partner as an employer, as employees are shown a lot of appreciation and flexibility.
