2-year programme
eXplore Corporate Finance: This is your well-founded and flexible training on the way to becoming a top SME consultant.

Start immediately – you can join the programme at any time. As a colleague in our teams, you will gain project experience in our national and international corporate and private equity projects right from the start.

At the end of your program, you will have acquired sufficient knowledge and skills through your chosen home base, rotations, and comprehensive training to positively shape your future career. You decide at the end of the program in which area you would like to specialize.

Choose your homebase: Transactions, Valuation, M&A Advisory, Recovery

Your home base is your personal launch pad into the world of corporate finance. From there, you can complete up to two further placements in the other areas (usually 6 months at a time depending on the project situation) to round off your training perfectly. You also have the opportunity to complete one or more placements in Audit to get to know the world of auditing.

Transactions: In the Transactions department, you will support our clients in the purchase and sale of companies as part of the financial due diligence or in the sale as part of a financial factbook (a detailed presentation of the key financial figures of the company being sold).

Valuation: In valuation projects, the focus is on company valuations, fairness opinions and impairment tests, which our clients require in the context of transactions or for tax and business management purposes. Also important: The area of financial modeling, in which we create integrated financial models in Excel for our clients, which they use for corporate planning, reporting or transactions, among other things.

M&A Advisory: There are exciting national and international projects in Mergers & Acquisitions! You will support us in the implementation of projects, e.g. in the preparation of process documents (teasers, information memorandums, management presentations etc.), carry out market and company analyses and draw up long and short lists of potential buyers or target companies.

Recovery: In the Recovery team, we support our clients in restructuring situations and develop creative and sustainable solutions for them. You will support us in the preparation of restructuring concepts and company analyses or concepts for optimizing the financial situation as well as in supporting the successful implementation.

For all areas applies: We advise national and international clients from various sectors, e.g. automotive, software/IT, services or healthcare, as well as private equity investors.

Our teams work across locations on exciting projects in the areas of Transactions, Valuation, M&A Advisory and Recovery.

And you are also flexible when it comes to your workplace. After the induction phase, you can continue to work in our modern offices – for maximum deal proximity, an inspiring and dynamic atmosphere and, of course, lunch together as a team! And if you need more concentration, you can simply move to the mobile office.

At Rödl & Partner, we attach great importance to providing you with personalized training tailored to your personal wishes and development goals so that your training is well-founded. In addition to on-the-job training, we offer you a wide range of courses that you can put together according to your individual interests and needs: Take part in our regular Local Office Trainings, attend workshops or sign up for one of our many physical or digital trainings in our Rödl campus program – here you will learn everything from professional development, tools & methods to soft skills.

Whether it’s financial modeling tools, HBG/IFRS, Audit Academy, Power BI or Business English: we will give you tips on the right training courses for your particular position and actively involve you in our various training courses.

Personal mentoring

Your mentor is an experienced colleague of your choice. Before the start of the eXplore program, you will work together to decide which elective station is best suited to you and how to structure your trainee period.

Your mentor will be your point of contact for questions or problems and will meet with you regularly for professional and personal discussions.

This means that you will always have a permanent contact who will be on hand to help and advise you, even if your projects and stations change.

 

Schedule of the programme

1.

Start: If you need more information – please contact us. Or apply now!

2.

Get to know: 2 rounds of interviews, 1x via video conference, 1x in person on site.

3.

Go: Join us as an Associate (permanent employment with full remuneration) in your chosen home base and location.

4.

Finetuning: Gain additional experience in your 2 to max. 3 rotation stations for 6 months each* as well as an optional audit assignment of 1 to 2 months.

5.

Finish: Complete eXplore after 2 years and decide on an area. Congratulations – you have laid the foundations for your future career!

The trainee program enabled me to gain a lot of valuable experience and develop my skills in exciting projects.
