Rödl & Partner in the UAE

Dubai

The United Arab Emirates and especially Dubai as an important economic and trade center in the Middle East are particularly attractive for company foundations or branch offices of (German) companies, which is mainly due to the political stability, liberal economic policy and many free trade zones within the country. Rödl & Partner's local office is therefore strategically positioned to meet these economic requirements.

Rödl & Partner has been present in Dubai for many years. In September 2018, the office was relocated to the Business Bay district, which has not only led to an increase in office space, but also to closer proximity to the AHK (German Chamber of Foreign Trade) and the Downtown and Financial Center districts, which simplifies communication with the authorities located there. Business Bay is however not just a pure office district, as the name suggests, but also offers many residential options, cafés, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants.

In addition to Rödl & Partner's usual areas of practice, which are offered worldwide, the firm in Dubai is particularly frequently involved in providing legal and tax support and advice for company formations. This includes, among other things, the drafting and review of (company, employment or commercial agent) contracts according to local law, but also the application for visas for the directors and employees or official procedures to legalise documents, open accounts or apply for or renew licences with the competent authorities.

The local team attaches particular importance to a trusting working relationship. A family-like working atmosphere is crucial for mutual success, so this is also actively promoted, for example through jointly attended events such as the iftar (breaking of the fast together) in Ramadan or the Christmas celebration in December.
