10 years as a lawyer at Rödl & Partner: A great first employer that has remained so until today

How did you find your way to Rödl & Partner back then?

I first got to know Rödl & Partner in the classic way during the application phase after my state examination, combined with a personal recommendation. My very good first impression was confirmed by the job interview, so that I was convinced that Rödl & Partner was a great first employer and has remained so until today. :-)

In which position did you start your job?

I started my career at the Hamburg office as a lawyer in the areas of corporate law and capital markets law.

How has your area of practice developed and what are your current responsibilities?

My area of practice has not changed significantly. Together with my colleagues from the capital investment law team, I continue to advise our clients on all aspects of capital investments. What is noticeable, however, is an increase in larger regulatory projects originating from the European legislator. At the moment, we are very busy with sustainable investments, for example.

However, we should not forget the area of FinTechs, especially in connection with payment services, and the topic of crypto assets. At the beginning of my work, many of these were still dreams of the future...

What was the highlight of your time at Rödl & Partner?

On reflection, it is a puzzle of many smaller events that come together to form an overall picture. Looking back, the best part has been the development of my team into what it is now and what it stands for, even through a lot of difficult times. I am looking forward to what is yet to come and to many more special moments...

What do you particularly appreciate about Rödl & Partner?

What I particularly appreciate about Rödl & Partner is the interplay of the infrastructure of a large law firm coupled with the fact that every single employee counts and is noticed. This promotes a strong sense of team spirit.

I also appreciate the fact that Rödl & Partner is constantly working on itself in order to keep improving on various levels.
